Overview

This project was a design build collaboration with longtime architectural partner, Entente Designs. The build out turned the 3,500 sq ft shell space into an Interventional Radiology (IR) Recovery department with eight open bay recovery beds and two isolation room beds, all with integrated headwalls. Support rooms for clean and soiled linen, a staff locker room, two nurse stations, as well as staff and patient toilets were part of the project. Building adjacent to the operational IR procedure rooms provided unique challenges for noise and vibration limitations, but through continuous communication with the IR staff, implementing limitations on equipment usage, and developing a “noisy work” schedule, Align was able to overcome these challenges with minimal disruption to the ongoing procedures.
